Property and casualty insurer utilizes one comprehensive claims system to improve operational efficiencies, reduce maintenance costs, and deliver exceptional customer service
NEW YORK; Nov. 10, 2015 – Mutual Benefit Group completed the deployment of Accenture Duck Creek claims software from Accenture (NYSE: ACN), moving a total of 13 lines of business to a comprehensive system that already supports the insurance provider’s personal and commercial auto lines. The modern claims platform will streamline operations and reduce costs associated with maintaining dual systems, as well as improve response time to customer inquiries throughout the claims process.
Duck Creek Claims uses the latest technology to support end-to-end claims management and is fully integrated with Mutual Benefit’s existing Duck Creek Policy system. This unified system allows the seamless transfer of information between underwriting and claims administration, which will enhance the service provided to customers within the two states in which Mutual Benefit operates: Pennsylvania and Maryland.
“Assisting our customers in their time of need remains our top priority and consolidating systems onto one platform will enable us to continue delivering the exceptional service needed throughout the claims process,” said Mark Russell, vice president – claims, Mutual Benefit Group. “The functionality of the integrated Duck Creek platform will help us leverage digital technology that makes it easier to interact with customers and realize operational efficiencies that impact our service and growth strategies.”
“We’re so pleased to assist Mutual Benefit Group with their system transformation to better support claims operations and enable them to deliver an enhanced experience to customers,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director, Accenture Duck Creek. “Claim handling is a critical time for customers, which requires rapid response to inquiries and efficient progression throughout the claims process.”
Duck Creek Claims, Policy, and Rating are included in the suite of software that also incorporates Billing software. The configurable software is designed to work independently or as a combined approach to manage all aspects of the P&C insurance lifecycle. Value can be attained via on-premises software or Duck Creek On-Demand, a Software as a Service model.
