Governance statement

Duck Creek Technologies (“Duck Creek”) approach to Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) is grounded in transparency, ethical responsibility, and regulatory compliance. We believe that AI should augment human expertise, enabling insurers to make smarter, faster, and fairer decisions.

Duck Creek aims to use, develop, and implement AI in accordance with applicable law, and ethical and responsible guidelines, including by: (i) developing, implementing, and monitoring such AI in a manner that promotes fairness, transparency, accountability, human interpretability, security, and safety towards individuals and other third parties; and (ii) implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, technical documentation, and technical and administrative mechanisms which are periodically assessed to address changes in risks and the effectiveness of the AI internal controls. 

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring their practices involving AI training and data use are done ethically and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and their own internal policies.
