Overview

Newgen's ECM platform enables end-to-end management of large volumes of documents and digital content. It seamlessly integrates with Duck Creek applications to manage content and enables digital transformation of your organization.


The Newgen – Duck Creek ECM integration allows Duck Creek users to manage the entire policy documents life cycle. Documents can be viewed in single unified viewer including image and non-image documents. In addition, policy documents can be edited through merge and extract features.
Newgen OmniDocs WorkDesk is a content accelerator that provides a best view and operations experience to work on an Electronic File including collaboration & decision-making, convenient access, and management of documents.


The integration allows the users to manage huge content and helps in faster policy and claims processing with reduced costs. Various document actions to enhance productivity like compare the documents side by side along with highlighting differences which reduces the manual effort drastically, merge or split documents, search, collaborate and helps the users to make the business decisions quicker.


At the core of WorkDesk is Newgen’s OmniDocs - a modern, scalable content services platform.

The following tools are needed to complete the package installation:

  • Author
  • Express
  • SQL Server Management Studio

Dependencies

To use this package, you must also have:

  • TransACT
  • Access to Web API used to upload documents to Newgen Enterprise Content Management (ECM)

Installing the Package

After you are granted access to the Content Exchange packages you requested, use the Content Exchange Package Utility to install the package. This utility can be run on the server or on your local machine.

To install a package:

  1. Download and install version 3.5.0 of the Content Exchange Package Utility
  2. Once installed, open the utility and use it to install or unzip your downloaded packages. Learn more about using this utility.
    Some packages are completely installed by the Content Exchange Package Utility while others still require some manual steps. The documentation provided with each package includes any manual steps required to successfully install that package.
