Precisely CAT Area Underwriting Embargo (Policy)

Overview

The Precisely CAT Area Underwriting Embargo integration for Duck Creek Policy is designed to give carriers more control when it comes to writing policies in potential natural disaster areas (i.e. wildfires, hurricanes, etc.).  This integration leverages Precisely’s Spectrum Spatial mapping service to manually select areas that are seen as high risk to the carrier.

Within the chosen LOB, Duck Creek Policy will send a request to Precisely to see if the risk address falls within that defined area. If the address does fall within the area, a binding restriction will go into effect on the application, keeping the user from binding the policy.
