Gore Mutual Insurance Selects Duck Creek’s Software to Modernize Property and Casualty Core Systems, Enhance Customer Experience

July 6, 2016
New billing platform to expand Gore’s capabilities to deliver new products quickly, offer more payment options, and expedite processing through automation

NEW YORK; July 6, 2016 – Gore Mutual Insurance Company has selected Duck Creek Technologies to modernize its core property and casualty insurance systems. The new billing software will offer more payment options, handle higher volume workflows, and enhance billing operations by streamlining and automating processes, which will increase efficiencies and improve responsiveness to brokers and customers served throughout Canada.

As part of Gore Mutual’s ongoing core system replacement initiative, this new billing software will be fully integrated with Duck Creek Policy and its market-leading black box rating engine, which were previously implemented. The combined platform will support Gore’s personal and commercial lines of business from quoting and underwriting to payment and renewal.

“The seamless integration between the Duck Creek billing and policy systems made it clear that this is the best solution for us,” said Sean Christie, Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Information Services at Gore Mutual. “This will provide us with streamlining opportunities, as we will be able to automate manual processes or even eliminate some processes completely.”

“All of us at Duck Creek are excited to be working with Gore Mutual on this next phase of their core system modernization initiative,” said Michael A. Jackowski, president, Duck Creek Technologies. “In today’s world, it’s all about delivering and utilizing the technology that enables a superior customer experience. With this function-rich and fully-integrated policy and billing platform, Gore Mutual will continually add value to the brokers they serve by providing quick and easy access to the products and information needed to meet market demand.”

Duck Creek Billing and Duck Creek Policy are included in a suite that also incorporates Duck Creek Claims and Duck Creek Rating software. The configurable software is designed to work independently or as a combined approach to manage all aspects of the P&C insurance lifecycle. It can be deployed through an on-premises implementation or via Duck Creek On-Demand, a Software as a Service model.
