What is the most challenging aspect of introducing a new insurance product?

Creating the systems to deploy products was identified as the most challenging aspect of introducing a new insurance product, according to over 40% of respondents to Duck Creek’s recent global survey exploring the new standard in insurance.

This was followed by the challenge of achieving market awareness and acquiring new customers (nearly 30%). Respondents commonly cited the rigidity of their business model as a factor contributing to this challenge, together with legislation and the logistics of deploying a product and creating demand / realisation that there was a need for the product from potential customers.
